Dave was born on June 28, 1935 and passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016. Dave was a resident of Algiers, Louisiana at the time of his passing. He was married to Betty. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home 7040 Lapalco Blvd. Marrero LA on Thursday August 11 2016 at 11am. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Westwego LA. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9am until 11am. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Guiding Eyes For the Blind 611 Granite Springs Rd. Yorktown Heights N.Y. 10598.

We send our love and deepest regrets that our loving Cousin, Dave DeMatteo Sr. has passed and gone to Heaven. He always was such a sweet and loving cousin and we will always remember him and keep him in our hearts. He was a wonderful son, husband,father, grandfather, Uncle and Cousin. Will be missed, Mr Dave was a good man to everyone ,he used to tell me when we would talk about things (rock treat people the way you want to be treated )

I didn't know Mr. Dave all that well, but I know he was a very nice man who loved his wife and family.He talked about them all the time, and loved his grandchildren especially! You have our condolences, as I know you will all miss him tremendously. Just remember he will always be in your hearts and lives because of the man he was. May God bless you all and keep you in the palm of his hand. may he bring comfort to your hearts as often as you think about him, and the many memories he leaves...
