Dear, Dear Dave, how I miss you. I still do Oklahoma Toad, Van Lingle Mungo. Swan Song, Peel Me A Grape so many more wherever and whatever medium I'm on or in. I treasure all the original copies you gave me. I treasure your brilliant, cynical, ever present look at life's foibles. Such a unique talent! Most of all, I hope you are somewhere at peace. And just to let you know, everyone who is anyone misses you too!

I'm just a Bill

I used to watch School House Rock every Saturday morning. It was educational cartoon content that was a joy to watch growing up. Mr. Frishberg was extremely talented and provided cartoons that was enjoyable to watch.

We were honored and privileged to have seen him in many venues in Portland, when we lived there from 2007 to 2014. This includes the Benson Hotel, Ivories, the Pine Street Bar & Grill, where three of us, Rebecca Kilgores manager, Rebecca, and Dave were the only ones there for awhile! So we naturally talked to them and Rebecca even took requests!! We’ll never forget it. Jack & JoAnn Jex, Napa, CA

Dave didn't disappoint, delivering a solid rendition of this classic to a sold-out room of jazz aficionados - and baseball junkies. Gonna miss you, Dave. But I still got "Van Lingle Mungo".

My condolences.

Our deepest condolences to the family. We pray that God continues to strengthen and comfort the family during this difficult period.

Farewell to the great Dave Frishberg, a dear friend whose songs, singing, and wonderful quirky piano style placed him among the most revered artists in the jazz world. During my years in Portland, Dave and April lit up my life and that of my late wife, singer Carol Ettman. What high spots in our lives were the opportunities to play with Dave, as well as the many times of hearing him in Portland clubs and having a part in presenting him in concerts in Portland and Reno. My wife Rosalyn,...
