Age 83
Dave McMahan, age 83 of Christiana, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Adams Place. He was born in Etowah, TN and was the son of the late Edward D. McMahan and Margaret Snyder Wiggs.
Survivors include his wife Deana Cleversey; children, David Alan McMahan and wife Tina of Manchester, Lynn Hill and husband Steve of Murfreesboro, and Kurt McMahan and wife Deanna of Christiana; step-children, Chad Cleversey of Nashville, Kyle Cleversey of Murfreesboro, and Fallon Cleversey and husband Jamie Lovett of Nashville; a brother, Buddy Wiggs and wife Wanda of Christiana; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loving family and friends.
Mr. McMahan was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired as a fireman from the Washington D.C. Fire Department after 18 years of service.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Frensley officiating. Private burial services will be held in Wiggs Family Cemetery in Christiana.

I was blessed to have played many a round of golf with Dave. I had a blast every time. He was always fun to be around and I will miss him.

Rest in peace dave...you were a gentle and caring man, we all enjoyed your company. You were a gentleman on and off the golf course and loved the competition on the poker table. I always enjoyed our conversations we had sharing our life experiences....you did have one of the best golf swings I ever saw...thanks for the time we shared
