MYERS, Dave - Age 60, of Tampa, FL, died Wednesday at Tampa General. Dave was born in Flint, Michigan and moved to Florida in 1980 and served as a Screener for the TSA Department of Homeland Security, Tampa International Airport. Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn; his mother, Elsie Austin of Bellair; brother, Lynn "Bud" Myers of Clearwater and sister, Betty Copeland of Medina, OH. Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend William G. McMillen officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dave's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuneralhomeinc.com

I personally had the pleasure of going on several fishing trips with Dave and I know I will think of him when I look at the ocean . He showed me his love of fishing and I am grateful for the experience and memories.

Dave, it's me your old fishing buddy from the 80's. We went every Sunday on the Double Eagle after working "Bowl For Cash" on Saturdays at Liberty Lanes. You taught me most of what I know about fishing. I still use the same rod and reel you helped me pick out. The Daiwa reel with the Star Rod. Remember my first big grouper? A 30 lb. black.
