I was privileged to have known him in the early 80s when I lived in Edmonton and he left an indelible imprint of kindness, wit, intelligence and strength rarely found in one person. My heart goes out to his children and family,

I was very sadden to hear about Dave, he was one of my favorite Edmonton Oiler players, I got a chance to meet him in person at one of the Ukrainian restaurants here in the city, a very nice and pleasant person. He will be greatly missed by us all. Rest in peace Dave.
