In the late 1960’s I began my life’s work on the waterfront. I was lucky enough to meet a very gentle affable person, my union brother Dave Short. Occasionally we worked side by side in the hold of some hot, dusty freighter. Working with Dave was always enjoyable. Recalling when he partnered with Jessie Navarro is impossible.
