David O. Akel

David O. Akel, 57, of North Little Rock, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2003. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock, and a member of W.D. Oliver Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife, Lorece Akel; three sons, Olden Eric Akel of Mabelvale, Omar David Akel of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and David Mark Akel of North Little Rock; one daughter, Christina Akel Williams and husband Gary of Sherwood; one grandchild, Andrew Luke Williams; one brother, Jamal Akel of Chicago, IL, four sisters, Georgina Farhat of Jacksonville, Florida, Sue Akel of Sherwood, and Karemah Akel and Iklas Salamy, both of Chicago, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Akel was preceded in death by his parents, Odeh and Bahia Akel, and a sister, Mary Akel.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170.
