David was a very kind, caring man. David and I were in the Bassett High School band together.

I never had to opportunity to meet David but no doubt he was very much like his brother Allen. Allen is a very special man and we are blessed to have him in our family. They will meet again in heaven and have many very happy days together forever,

We miss you Nephew David. We always remember when you came down to visit us in Fort Lauderdale. You came with a friend. You both called yourselves Mr Grocer. You both told us you could eat us out of all our groceries. You both did not at all. I know you enjoyed going on the airboat ride in the Everglades. We do miss you!!

David was a great friend. We will miss his distinctive bass voice in the choir and men's chorus. Fred and I enjoyed our Sunday lunches with David and Louise at Mackie's after church. He always walked around greeting everyone he knew while we were giving our drink orders--including a diet Dr. Pepper in a go cup for David. What a joy it was to share that time (and my onion rings) with David!
