Dave was a true sportsman both as a player, observer, and coach. He understood the games of baseball and basketball and excelled in both. We spent a lot of time playing baseball together. It was very rewarding to see his success at Purdue.
We kept in touch from time to time, and he is a friend I will miss.

My deepest sympathy to family, friends and the
Boilermaker Family at the loss of Coach Alexander.
Attended a few of and followed the Boiler Baseball
when he was head of the program. What a great
era and some great players he recruited. Once a
Boilermaker always a Boiler.. and he made his mark.
Trust that his Heavenly home shall be colored with
the Gold and Black and a baseball field. RIP, Coach
and thanks for the memories.
