Not sure what to say?

David was one of the first people outside of my department I worked with at Lilly. He patiently explained and taught me how to manage some forms I had to use. I will remember him as a super kind and patient person. I'm saddened that he has left us here on earth but know that he is with the Father doing amazing things in Heaven.

Dave Alms supported several of my production team for more than 13 yrs. He was a thoughtful, kind, hard worker. He always portrayed a calm persona in the midst of chaos. He earned respect from operators & senior management alike. Always upbeat, always friendly. He was famous for assembling huge data troves, reviewing, and discovering some overlooked nuance, and devising a solution.
To family & friends, I know the incomprehensible loss...it can’t be explained or understood...
But,...

To David’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Both of my sons were in the Lilly Engineering Explorer post and loved it! He did such a wonderful job with this program. Many prayers for your family.

David was the example of a Christian man. Faithful to his creator, family and friends. I was privileged to be on mission trips to Guatemala with him. He will truly be missed.

Some of my very best times working at Lilly were with David and the B358 team in the late 1990's. David was a terrific engineer and more importantly - a kind man. Traci and I will continue to pray for you all and hope that eventually you can focus on terrific memories and the legacy that he has left with your entire family and your church. We are so sorry to hear of this loss.

I'm so sorry to learn of Dave's passing. He always had a smile on his face and I never heard him say anything negative about anyone. My condolences to his family.

I worked with David to optimize the insulin process, David was very committed to his work and was a joy to work with. My condolences to his family.

David was my mentor as a young engineer many years ago, and I’m so appreciative of his support and guidance. He challenged my critical thinking skills in a very non-intimidating manor, always there to offer help when I was struggling with technical issues. David was always patient, kind and so proud of his family. My love and prayers go out to the Alms family.

Such a great guy.Always smiling and greeting us at work. Will be missed.
