To sad knowing Mr. David Amato has died. In the 80s he wrote a weekly column entitled BY DAVID AMATO in The News (English daily in Mexico City). I translated many of his texts into Spanish for the Novedades daily in Mexico City, owner of The News. Of course, when Mr. Amato saw over the translation and a line was nof of his liking, he used to say kindly "I think we better write here...". I was then 22-25 years old.
