David Barron Anderson, of Slidell, LA, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2022.
David was born in Slidell, Louisiana to Ernest and Cecelia Anderson on April 15, 1994. He was a life-long resident of Slidell, graduating from Northshore High School where he was a member of the varsity basketball and tennis teams. He went on to The University of Southern Mississippi earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology, graduating with honors. He was an active member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He attained his Doctor of Pharmacy at The University of Louisiana Monroe in 2020. Upon graduation, he began working as a retail pharmacist at Walgreens and was recently named a staff pharmacist, a job he truly loved.
David was happiest when spending time with his family. He was a lover of the outdoors and an avid fisherman, spending many hours exploring Doubloon Bayou. He enjoyed attending live music events and wood working, creating custom gifts for his family members. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who will be dearly missed by his family.
He is survived by his devoted parents Ernest and Cecelia Anderson; his loving sister and brother, Emily Bassett (Matthew) and Russell Anderson (Michelle); his adoring niece and nephew, Eliza Scott Bassett and Henry Anderson. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he had many fond memories.
In his death, David was able to bless several other persons as an organ donor.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 3:00 P.M.
Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
Visitation on Saturday after 1:00 P.M. until funeral time.
Donations to Savannah Smiles preferred, in lieu of flowers. www.savannah-smiles.org
