My husband, Preston, and Dave were old Navy buddies who talked frequently. They were both stationed in Hawaii and also in Virginia. They served the Navy as Torpedomen , serving together on the L.Y. Spear and also at the Missile Unit in Pearl Harbor so they shared many memories. Dave was a frequent visitor to our home in Virginia and when he retired in Norfolk, Virginia we threw his retirement party for him. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
