coach dave what can i say. you were a great inspiration in my life and to many of us. i met you when i was in the 4th grade at douglass elem. i heard there was a man in the parking lot taking names of kids who wanted to play football. ever since that day you helped me become the man that i am today. you tought me to never let anyone tell me that i wasnt good enough and to never forget where i come from and to always help those in need. and never ask for anything in return. i will never forget...

My thoughts and prayers go out to The Arevalo Family. We miss you and keep you in our prayers. We go back many years ago, we grew up together since we were 5 years old. We went to Herff Elementary, Douglass Elementary, Page Middle School, Wheatley High School. You went to Fox Tech High School. You were my youngest daughter's Godfather. I remember when I used to coach the cheerleaders at Douglass. Liz and I had good memories I enjoyed those Saturdays and we had a very good Football Team and...

It was Summer 1979, A Black kid without a Father is spotted by Coach David Arevalo, he stated repeat after me "I am somebody, God doesn't make Junk", though Fatherless raised on the Eastside streets I was officially adopted by Coach David after that, We became winners, on and off the field . He Coached/Raised players like Cory Sears from Houston Texans, and many others, We Love You Coach.

David you will live in hearts, always. Thanx for all the good times at Nikko's Birthday parties and the National Night outs, I know it meant alot for all of us to attend.
