David L. Baker, 70, of Montrose, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born on April 22, 1945 in Carbondale, PA to the late Morris H. and Lillian R. (Fancher) Baker.

David and Margaret resided in Fairbanks, Alaska from 1969 to 1976 where he worked as a Fairbanks City Surveyor and as a guide for a big game hunting outfitter. He also worked on the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline as a foreman and Superintendent.

Upon moving back to Montrose, David embarked upon a long and successful career in banking holding the positions of President and CEO as well as serving on their Board of Directors until his retirement in 2011. He participated in a number of banking research projects and education programs.
