Dave was my mentor and my friend when I was a fellow at Columbia-Presbyterian in 1960-1961, and he later became my partner in Savannah, doing what he loved, teaching our residents. Generations of radiologists were profoundly influenced by Dave and are devastated by his loss, but are forever grateful for what he gave us both professionally and personally. I worked with Dave for several years at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. He was a great radiologist and a wonderful man, beloved by his colleagues and especially by the radiology residents whom he taught. I will miss him and am very sorry for your loss. He made a huge contribution to pediatric radiology, and to the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
