To The Balash Family,
Celeste and I send our sincerest condolences on David's passing. We remember him as an unfailing friend whose steady good nature buoyed us all. Dear Balash Family,
Celeste and I send our sincere condolences to you on David's passing. He was a loyal friend, steady, good-natured, passionate, and devoted to his family, his friends, his home town and especially as I remember him, baseball. He knew and loved the game. I can see him now stopping to watch the Auburn entry in the NYP League as he hawked his wares in the stands at Falcon Park. I have treasured his friendship, our long-standing mutual love of your family.

I was so shocked and sorry to hear about David. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I've been thinking about some of the fun times we all had playing football on Sunday's on State Street. Good memories, may they give you comfort. Love to All.
