Not sure what to say?

One of my fondest memories of Dave - and there are several - is his impromptu "concert" at Floogles one late evening, when he decided the little jazz combo needed some help. He somehow convinced them to let him join the band and proceeded to croon through a set of standards to the delight of everyone present. He was one fearless and multi-talented guy. Flint has lost another media legend.

you will be missed

Rest in peace David...you are unforgettable .....Lauren

I was one of the first few people that Dave met In RI, and we connected from that momment on.
talk about humble, genium fun I can go on and on !!! but what I wanna say is that he will forever be in my heart my only Michigan friend I will miss miss u!!!
My condolences to the family
Rest in peace Davide.

So long to a really loving and concerned guy who loved life and his home town of Flint. His radio character was a hard hitting no nonsense tough guy who was a cut throat cross examiner. He was a frustrated lawyer who would have been a real advocate in a court room. Those of us who really knew him saw a kind soft hearted guy who would cry when he saw poverty, corruption, or an injustice and he wanted to try to always make things right. I will truly miss him and his sense of justice.Good bye...

Never forget when we were kids he would not only imitate Louie Armstrong but Elvis. Put him in the basement and he'd put on his one man show. Something's never change. He stayed a one man show. God keep you safe Davey, say hello to all who went before. By the way my Dad will be looking to find you, for you deciding to paint his newly remodeled basement. He talked of that for years.

Dave was the true entertainer whether DJing or singing, playing music with him on Monday's oldies night at the Embers lounge was a blast, he loved people and he everybody loved him for his personality and his contagious smile, thank you for the happy times and say hello to my wife Tammy and our buddy Wajdi...

What terrible loss! Dave, I will miss the interviews, but, more importantly, the friendship we have developed these past three years. I will miss all the laughs we had before and after session. You always made my job easier. You were a professional and a gentleman. Rest in peace my friend. My sincere condolences to your family and friends.

DAVE AND I HAD A MUTUAL RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER. i HAD A BAND HE REALLY LIKE "CRUNCH & DA DADDY COOLS;Then in the 60s i called his talk shows quite often. After music i started a Lawn Care service and worked for him on Barth st. He most certainly was a 'Radio Man,and you couldn't stump him. R.I.P Mr. Barber
