David Manuel Barreiro

David Manuel Barreiro, 23 of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2016.


He was born June 16, 1993. He was a self-taught musician who played the piano and drums. David was also a songwriter and a producer of music under the name Dae Billz. He was an entrepreneur who operated his own music studio for 8 years. He made music that made you laugh and cry and dance and feel good.
He enjoyed cooking and was an amazing father to his precious two-year-old daughter Kailani.


He will be deeply missed by his daughter Kailani Barreiro at home; mother Sesa Barreiro of Rocky River; father and stepmother Miguel and Carrie Barreiro of Lorain; twin brother Daniel, brother Miguel Jr. and sister Lilyana Barreiro all of Lorain; maternal grandfather and step grandmother Anthony and Karen Harris of Sandusky; paternal grandparents Fernando and Cristina Barreiro of Lorain and step grandfather Tim Hill of Oberlin; and his girlfriend Zayanna Chapman of Elyria.


David was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Susan Hill.


His family will receive friends Sunday, December 18 from 1 to 5 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street South Lorain. A celebration of David's life will be held Monday December 19 at 10 AM in the House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue in Lorain. Pastor Gilbert Silva will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

His family suggests contributions to Kailani's scholarship fund.
