Not sure what to say?

The Dean of the Oregon Lobby is missed - for his relational skills, friendship and ability to bring people together around the better outcome. We miss you, Dave, for these and many other reasons.

Our love to you and your family,

Norm & Kathy Smith
Roseburg, Oregon

I miss you so much. There is not a day goes by that a memory with you does not cross my heart. I actually met you before Tom in the 1989 session and I remember being drawn to your warmth and humor. You also let it be known quite often of your son who you told me was hard working almost as cute as you, loyal and very funny and you were right. How very blessed I am to have called you father - in law for 24 years. We are just starting Cabin Season which was such an important place for our...

Family members,
You are in my prayers. I first met Dave when he was helping me as Chair of the first legislative committee for the faculty union at PSU. I learned volumes from Dave. He was a true leader and kindness was in everything he did for our greater community.

Pat: Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was always the "fun guy" up at Swift Creek when my parents had the cabin. I have great memories of those times with my dad and Dave at the lake.- Doug Fah

Dear Pat and family, I so miss Dave at the campaign fundraisers. He was always up, always fun to talk to, and always smiling. He was so generous in so many ways. My father took his life and I know how difficult this can be. Savor the great times you had as a family and know that he was one of the finest people to ever work in our Capitol. Don Powell

Pat,

I knew Dave very well from a different area. I saw him almost daily for about 15 years at the downtown YMCA. Dave was a very tough competitor on the basketball court. But always, very fair. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

One of the best. Hardworking, dedicated, trusted, and so helpful. I was blessed to know him and spend time with him. My thoughts and prayers are with the Barrows family.

Dear Pat and Family - We were so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. We have many fond memories of dinner and many political functions with you both. Dave was a kind and generous soul. He will be missed by many.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
With love,
Emily & Peter Toll

Dear Pat, Tom and Stacey,
I don't need to tell you what we all feel - we've lost a really good one. I first met Dave in the 1977 session when I was a staff lawyer to the Senate Judiciary Committee and he would come in to testify or visit with staff on an issue. After the 1979 session he gave me my first work as an independent contract lobbyist with his firm. Trailing behind and watching him work and, more importantly, relate to everyone in the building - legislators, all level of...
