Doc Beckstead was my good friend. In 2001 en I moved to Cub River, one day as I was walking, Doc Beckstead stopped me and asked if I was Ernest Beutler's daughter, because he was Ernest's veterinarian. Sure enough, I am Ernest's daughter. He has stopped to visit as I have been out walking many times and I will really miss his humor. But am happy he doesn't have to suffer anymore.
