Dr. Bender was one of the reasons I appreciated my time at Penn State Berks. He was very encouraging with his guidance to make sure that my college experience was successful and life-changing. Dr. Bender was such a caring person and one of my favorite professors. He was the reason I chose Penn State Berks after touring many schools. I took one of his courses freshmen year and he helped me all the way up to graduation. One of my favorite memories of Dr. Bender was his humorous side. He explained to the class that a member of the school board was coming next class to answer any questions we had. Next week’s class came and in the middle of class he went and changed his outfit and tie....
