Mrs. Bender and Family, We are saddened at Dave's passing and send our heartfelt condolences. Mr. and Mrs. Bender (Dave and Marge and Leo and Rose) were great neighbors to our family for over 60 years and were always there to help, especially for our parents in their later years. We know that you will celebrate a life well-lived and one who helped so many as you gather these next few days. Tom, Bill, Mike and Paul Stehura

My heart goes out to the family I´m so sorry for your loss. I grew up with Mr. Bender in my life and thought he was a pretty cool guy with a smile that would light up a room. Our families knew each other and hung out together lots when we were growing up because our Dads were best friends. Throughout the years I saw a hard worker, caring dad and husband, and an awesome person - together they showed us all what true friendship looks like. They worked on Ski Patrol together, went skiing out...

Mary Beth--Please accept my family's condolences concerning your father's passing. It is never easy to lose a parent.

I have many fond memories of Uncle David. His charm, wit and happy disposition was what made him a "funcle". He took the time and taught me and my siblings how to ski. He loved being active and always had a joke or a story to tell. I remember him doing his thumb trick and we were all captivated by this when we were young! God's speed and I hope the angels you meet will laugh at your thumb trick too! Cathy, Bob and Adam DeCoske
