Not sure what to say?

I was talking about David just the other day - hes often on my mind and always in my heart. Thirty-eight years ago he called to congratulate me on my first-born child. It happened to be at the exact time of his bris, his circumcision. I told him I was very anxious about the procedure and he said, just remember, its your son on the table and not you. He was special.

I have a wonderful photo of David and Danny Kalb playing guitar together in 1966. And many memories of David in those early Brandeis days; his smile, intelligence, and, of course, endless hours of singing together with friends. Linda: to you and your children, so sorry for your loss.

Playing guitar and singing with David at Brandeis are treasured memories. He was an amazing musician and good friend at an important time in my life. I still have the Martin he helped me buy in a NYC pawnshop for $25. Condolences and best wishes to your family, Linda.

I only knew David through my brother Michael but I have such fond memories of him talking about meeting Anna Freud and how much he loved his field. He seemed so interested in life.

So many memories. My heart goes out to you, Linda, and to your children. In residency days David was always a breath of fresh, irreverent air - laced with humor and his own brand of wisdom. Then there was tennis. Then there was skiing, one time with you Linda, in Alta, when you were very pregnant. So much talk, laughter, seriousness about our lives and yours at MMHC, then on Pooks Hill, and then for a few lovely visits in Newton.
And the music. Always the music, starting with...

Condolences on your sad loss. David was a good friend during my year at Brandeis. I remember his positive energy and his warm smile.

David and I were college roomates for three wonderful and crazy years. Our converstations, our caring for each other and the depth of his freindship remain with me. Much too soon for a wonderful man. Love and caring to all. Michael Ratner

With sincere sympathy on your profound loss.
