Not sure what to say?

Remembering you and Nancy fondly, Dave, as always this time of year. Memories grow ever more precious, as I´m sure all families and friends experience, even though many aren´t aware of this helpful Legacy alert. We appreciate sharing memories with Nancy, in person or here. Our best to the children and grandchildren. Fondly, The Ackermanns

Dear Nancy and family, Every year, the memories grow fonder of our time with you and Dave in Ohio and Georgia. Never to be forgotten.

Gone too soon, never forgotten. We wanted to know Dave for much longer, but found a treasure trove of friendship in the times we did have. A fellow University of Dayton alum, Dayton and Atlanta neighbor, congenial and fun dinner companion at iconic places (Dante’s Down The Hatch, Canoe, and more).
We mentioned your memory, Dave, with new friends and old, just last month (Sept. 2020) at The Dock in Enon, OH, and always hold a toast up for you in our hearts when we are there. Our love to...

DB and I were roommates at UD when we lived with 4 other guys at 58 Frank Street. One of those guys noticed his death notice. Lost track of him after his wedding. Sorry and happy to learn of those he left behind. I've a lot of great memories of DB, The Ruptured Duck, and many adventures. So sorry for your loss.

We were so sorry to hear of Dave's passing in October. We will never forget Dave and all the research that he have don for many families. Cherish all the great memories. With sympathy.

Dave was so helpful with his research into my father's death and burial location in Retie, Belgium. He put us in touch with families in Belgium and his passion for facts from WWII just put all the pieces together. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

The memory of Dave will be with me and my family forever....I'll never forget his personal interest and help he bestowed upon us in researching my Pathfinder pilot uncle Gene Shauvin's mysterious crash and disappearance.....all of the wonderful people he brought into our lives with his tireless research.
Dave was an amazing man and I'm so honored and humbled to have been able to know him and call him friend.

Thanks to Dave's passion and genius at research, my family got answers to questions we had wondered about since my father's plane was shot down over Belgium in 1944. Dave touched the lives of so many families connected with that flight, both here and in Retie, Belgium. We are eternally grateful.
