Not sure what to say?

I was there at the FOB during that time, and was quick friends with Sgt Berry. While I didn´t know him well, we would have a few small conversations. I remembered how he wanted to play horseshoes, we didn´t have any that we could get at the MWR so he had some sent from home. From the time I did get to know him. Sgt Berry was kind, friendly and very easy to talk to, I was prior Army Infantry so that made it nice we had common grounds.Rest Easy Brother.

Rest David, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service sacrifice for this nation. Career Kansas Army National Guard, 16 years of service. KIA, Iraq. So go you now David to a place only heroes see.

I purchased David´s memorial band about 2 years ago. I have not taken it off since the day it arrived in the mail. He will be in my thoughts and prayers everyday especially on February 22nd. Me being a huge supporter of fallen hero´s, I will carry his honor and his memory with me forever. I love when people ask me about the band on my wrist so I can tell them the story of a hero. Thank you for your service brother. You will never be forgotten.

I wanted to let you know I had the honor to carry SFC David Berry ribbon of hope . I was pressented the ribbon before I took off on the Bataan Memorial Death march in White Sands N.M on March 21 2015. I never knew that man. But work with the wounded troops at Ft Lewis Washington and prior Army myself. I was truly touched and moved by the event. I proudy display his ribbion in my office daily.

To the family and friends of Staff Sgt. David R. Berry:
It has truly been my honor to sign David's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that David will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

Thank you David for your sacrifice to this country. You will not be forgotten to citizens such as myself. May you be able to wrap your arms around your loving family.
