Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss. I supervised Dave In the early '90's at the Second District. Dave always had a smile on his face and a calm demeanor with everyone he came in contact with.

Joyce,

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. We learned of the passing of Dave just this evening. Writing this message with a heavy heart and praying for you and your family. Love Ken and Shelly Bell

Condolences to the family. I only met David once or twice when I was very very young when my father (his cousin Bob) was in the hospital. Although I never really new David, in my role as Police Chief I run across many LEOs who ask if I am related and they tell a story about how good an officer or man he was. Based on those stories, I would think the streets of the heavens are a lot safer tonight.

Dear Joyce and family, I am very saddened to learn of David's passing. I have fond memories of of the many years you spent in that nice old house on Warren Rd. It was always such a pleasure dealing with the two of you. He was a great guy.

Sorry for your loss. Our parents were good friends. My dad, Walter Turske, grew up across the street from Russell. I just saw (twice)their grave site Saturday while looking for my cousin's grave, Buzz Slezak (which I didn't find).
May you all find peace with loving memories of Dave.

Dave was one of the finest policeman I had the pleasure of working with. He broke me in on the job in 1981 with his partner Jim Holub. They were known as the gentile giants and worked the old Brooklyn car 232. Dave was soft spoken with a gregarious laugh I'll never forget. All who knew Dave were better for it. He will always live on in my memory. My deepest sympathy to his family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dad will always live in my heart. I miss him dearly. I will remember him laughing, skating & taking photos of us.

To Joyce and family, our deepest sympathies on your loss. From Bill and Jenny Armstrong. I didn't know David well, but on the few occasions that we met at gatherings and church functions, I knew he and I would have been kindred spirits had we known each other when we were both younger.
