David Arthur Bischel

I'm very sad to hear of Dave's passing. I respected him more than anyone else among the community of foresters I've been part of for 50 years. Working with him was always a pleasure. More than anyone, Dave was responsible for moving a hidebound, insular California timber industry into a national position of conservation leadership. He positioned the timber industry to thrive in a nearly infeasible political environment, and he did that by embodying the most important virtues of leadership...

So sorry to hear of dave's Passing. He was a good friend.
