Not sure what to say?

Brian and I were a couple in high school. I remember his dad being very kind to me on those occasions when I was very nervous going to his house to meet the parents. I am very sorry for your loss.

I am saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I lived a couple of houses up the street. Both Ginny and Dave were great neighbors and kind-hearted people. When you're a little kid you tend to categorize the neighbors as those who are either "friendly" or "grumpy". "The Blackburns" were friendly. They always had a "wave and a smile" when we'd ride by on our bikes or when they'd drive by in their car. They'd even talk to us if they were out in the yard when we passed by. As a youngster, that...

So sorry to hear of Mr. Blackburn's passing, I grew up across the street from the Blackburns and my mom and I liked Dave and Ginny very, very much. After my mom had to enter the nursing home a few years ago, Dave would ask me about her every time I went over to check on the house and he often visited her at the nursing home. Mom and I are both saddened to hear this, our sincere condolences to the family.

Steven and Family, We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. On behalf of the Boys and Leaders, Troop 82 extends our condolences to you and your family during this time. Mr. Blackburn was instrumental in the Troop during its infancy and left an indelible legacy that continues more than 50 years later. May he now rest in peace with the Great Scoutmaster of all Scouts.

Lani , Jay & boys & Steve & Sandy ~ We are so sorry to hear of your loss, Dave was an amazing man, who will be missed by many. sending you all love & prayers

I worked with Dave for years at the Bosch and knew him to be a smart, helpful man who was extremely professional and very helpful to us "young guys." His work was as near to perfection as I have seen. They don't make Dave's type anymore. He will be missed.
My condolences to his family.

God bless you each with good memories of and thanks for the past together - and with hope for the future. I'm David's youngest cousin, so I remember him as a navy hero - and a great all around, easy going older guy and as an avid fisherman. May he rest in peace and hope.

Sorry to here about the loss of Mr.Blackburn. We have been neighbors with him since our family moved in next door. He was a wonderful neighbor, and a great man. Were sorry to hear of his loss

Lani and family, I am so very sorry for the loss of your Grandpa. It sounds like he was a very well loved man by all his family. May he watch over all who loved him and those whom he loved.
