David was born on October 22, 1933 and passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Blankenship graduated from Webster High School in Tulsa and attended junior college at the Oklahoma Military Academy (OMA) in 1952. Blankenship attended the University of Tulsa and joined the Air Force ROTC, graduating in 1955.
