Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt condolences to Marilyn and to Dave's family.
Although we have been out of touch for many years, my memory of Dave when he worked with us at Indiana University at SLAC was one of a smiling, happy physicist, expert at so many things and a person we could always rely on.
I also have great memories of learning rock climbing from Dave, and his super professional manner when climbing.

We all will miss him.

I'll really miss Dave. I worked with him at SLAC on HRS and MARKII experiments. He always made major contributions. He was very knowlegbile and a person who was usually able to answer my questions and/or solve my problem.

He was also very funny and I'll miss his humorus emails.

Dear Friends,
Greetings. Oh my, how saddened indeed I am to hear of David's passing. As I have remained in residence in the Wyoming Valley all of these years and of course then travel about the streets of Forty-Fort still, I think of the Blockus family often. And today, under these mournful circumstances, my thoughts are heavy-hearted. David was truly one of the good guys.
With sincere condolences,
Mark
