BLOOD, David A., age 39, of Richmond, died Thursday, June 4, 2009. David served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was a graduate of VCU. He is remembered for his love of fishing and reading, and for the many lives that were touched by his friendship. Family services will be held at Michael Hawkes Funeral Home in Amelia, Va. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Amelia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, Va. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hawthorne Cancer Center.

To the family and friends of David Blood: David will truly be missed and was loved by all whom he may have come in contact. I felt honored to be a fellow co-worker and friend to David and I will miss him more than I can say. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and may God Bless you all.
