Not sure what to say?

Sad to see him gone

Among the pictures on my shop walls is one of a bunch of happy college-age friends and one of those friends is Dave. Of course to me it's a picture of my brother Chris and friends but to someone else it would be a pic of David Bloom and friends...... either way it's a great pic, it looks like it ought to be on an album cover from 1967! In any case-- David Bloom, you are remembered.

#41! What an amazing mentor and true friend. I bought a motorcycle at 17 and blew the engine within the summer. My Dad told me I should go meet Dave. So I did. After a few visits it soon became daily. And then we went racing. Wow! On the last day of that first full season of pitting, wrenching and learning, Dave handed me his old leathers (Bloom #41) and his latest racer and sent me on track. Racing led into years of deductive reasoning , engineering, and a true friendship. Huge hugs...

to bob so sorry to hear about your brother. your brother pat. were good friend. you have my deepest sympathy.

I am sorry to learn of David´s passing. My condolences to his family and friends. I knew David through racing at Nelson Ledges where he was one of the fast guys. He was a good guy and a pleasure to know.

Sorry to hear of this. I didn't know Dave well but he was among my brother Chris's friends and I believe they also worked together at Nicholson's for a time. To me at that age (14-ish) whatever Chris and friends did "must be cool" and that whole bunch was into motorcycles so I went that way too.... and when I saw Dave's picture in Cycle Magazine racing at Talladega it was like knowing someone famous! I had that picture in my locker at school for a while. Many years later, mid 90's, I ran into...

Sincere condolances to Margee and Dave's family. Hey, Dave, hope you get a good ride up there, and a good race with the Lord around your favorite track. Take the corners well, and I bet you'll come in first. God bless you, old friend. Tipping one to your memory right now, late 31 Dec 2021. ..........RMO.

Rest in peace David. Was a pleasure knowing you so many years ago.

I´m sorry for your loss. Prayers of comfort being sent.
