Father Dave often called on me to play the organ at "paupers funerals", and other early morning masses. ( I was only 10 years old at the time) He baptized both of my sons, and they continued to visit him in New Orleans for jazz, great conversation, and the social justice issues they all loved. He enriched my life in ways beyond my comprehension in the moment.
