Not sure what to say?

Knew Dave for many years in San Diego. He was a true friend and a wonderful human being. We shared many friends in San Diego, particularly in the 'handball' players clubs. So enjoyable sharing stories and memories over a beer or two after games. Will always have great memories of this fine friend.

we have known each other as teenagers, living on drake ave, playing ball together, and going to cubs games. having you as my best man at my wedding. then we lost contact for more than 50 years. til i got that phone call in the summer of 2009. i'am so glad to have seen you and lois in october 2009, thought we would get together at least once a year but god had different ideas. david i will never forget your friend, johnny.

Dave,

Our Souls Loved.

Cynthia

Dave was the youngest of four children. i was closest to him in age so we shared many childhood interests.
He loved life, his family, his home and his many friends. I loved him as a sibling should but more important, I liked being the sister of a terrific guy.

I will always remember Dave as the kindest and sweetest of friends. I so enjoyed his sense of humor and his sincere thoughtfulness. I will truly miss him. I send my love to Cynthia and his family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I carried mail with Dave, in La Jolla for ten years and several of us.. ran together with Dave, in Mission Bay..in the 80's..He was a class act..such a decent fellow..tough.. yet gentle..and always encouraging others, to excel..his humor was great..Rest in peace my friend and my prayers..to you and your family..Paul

Dave was a true gentleman, I will miss his cheerful smile and good-natured laugh. He enjoyed life, family and friends and it was always a pleasure to spend time with him. My deep sympathy to Cynthia and the rest of his family.

I knew Dave from the La Jolla YMCA and will always remember him counting "us girls" when he arrived. We shared being from the same area of Chicago/Northwest Highway! I will miss his genuine smile.
