Connor-Healy Funeral Home - Manchester Obituary

David S. Bower, 60, of Manchester, NH, died August 15, 2021, after a period of declining health.


Born in Manchester, NH on December 29, 1960, he was the son of Gail E. Bower, Jr. and Beverly (Collins) Bower. He was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.


David graduated from Manchester Memorial High School, Class of 1979, where he excelled in football and shot put.


Until his retirement, he was a senior sales representative with Hood for thirty years.


David had a passion for boating and fishing. He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.  His family was his pride and joy. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  David will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing this remarkable man.


Family members include his beloved wife of seventeen years, Sharon A. (Favors) (Ricigliano) Bower; a daughter, Rebecca Roy of Merrimack; a granddaughter, Maggie; a sister, Cheryl Currier and her husband, Clayton, of Dover; two nephews; and two stepsons, Keith Ricigliano and his wife, Jean, and Chris Ricigliano.


Services: Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 4 to 6 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.


A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 6 PM.


Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.

Dave was a valued team player/co-worker, giving and helping his fellow co-workers. I am honored to know Dave, work with him at Hood and be a friend. I will miss Dave. My condolences to his wife, daughter and granddaughter.

I met Dave when I started working for Hood Dairy. I was new to the business and Dave was always there to answer my questions.. we became friends and talked weekly while I was working there . He always was upbeat even when he was going through so many health problems . He was very proud of his family. Dave was a great guy and will be missed..my thoughts and prayers are with the family of this great man . RIP Dave
