David J. Brander passed away suddenly on March 7, 2024 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of the late Karen Brander (Wagner). Loving father of Jessica Wilson (Ron). Devoted Pop-Pop of Wyatt and Scarlett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annamarie R. (DeCerchio) and Delbert C. Brander Jr. and sister Susanne Brander, and brother Delbert Brander III. Survived by his siblings Bill Brander, Linda Carmen (Jerry), Nancy Brander-Gregull (Bill). He is also survived by his best man and best friend, A.J. Hite, as well as many loving nieces and nephews, and friends that were his family.
Dave loved with all his heart. He was very dedicated to his sobriety of 15 years. Dave helped others who were willing to find their way to sobriety. He was a great listener with no judgement. He knew who the real judge was, and he met Jesus where he was greeted and told "well done my good and faithful one". Dave was also an avid Philly Sports fan, with an immense love of hockey and especially football. Dave also played offensive guard for George Washington High School 1974-1978. David had an immense love of music. He loved playing the drums and singing. He was in many bands over the years. He loved going to live concerts as well as live sporting events. After the loss of his wife, he spent his days with many friends, family, his daughter and grandkids. The memories are beautiful, and the love is felt by everyone who was close with him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday Evening March 12, 2024 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and Wednesday at St. Martha Church, 11301 Academy Rd.
