David Wayne Branscum, born on August 14, 1966 in New Iberia, Louisiana, to Rev. Barbara Cady and the late Earl Wayne Branscum, passed away at age 52 on March 29, 2019 in Slidell, Louisiana. David graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in 1984 and attended the University of Southern Louisiana until his deployment. David served in the Marine Corps from 1986 to 1994 in Operation Desert Storm. He worked at General Dynamics as a network analyst. David was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Broussard. He is survived by his stepfather, Lloyd Cady; son, Bruce Branscum; daughters, Meridith Branscum and Allison Branscum; sister, Lisa Deshotel; and grandmother, Felicia Broussard, as well as extended family. The memorial service will be a private service with family and close friends on Sunday April 7, 2019. David was an avid movie lover with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
I am so sorry to hear about David, I was married to Wayne´s oldest brother Curtis Branscum and I remember mama Jean as most of us called Wayne´s precious mama talking about David. Ive often thought about David and how he was, since we never found out what happened to Wayne, again Im so sorry about his passing, just wanted to let his family know that he had other family that thought of him often.
