Not sure what to say?

I understand your pain and your grief, I have been there. The attached poem was sent to me and I am sending it to you. When you feel the tiny hairs on the back of your neck or when your beautiful daughter giggles, you'll know David is there with you. Blessed are those who have had the love of a true hero.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.

To The Family Of Officer David Brinkerhoff;
My children attend the daycare where David's Dad and Ruth work and I was deeply saddened for them to hear the news of them loosing their son. Then I learned that he had a new baby. God bless all of you and give you the strength to help you through this very hard time. My...

I will pray for you all. Stay...

Your husband was at an accident i had in the winter, and he didn't think twice as to run over and help the other person who was badly injured. I remember he slipped in the snow when he came running to help us out. Thank you to all our law enforcement for protecting us. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. He was a true hero. Bless your beautiful baby girl.

To the Trooper David C. Brinkerhoff Family

When I heard about the tragic loss of David I was very touched and saddened. I felt a great sense of sadness for him, your family and the entire New York State Police family. Although I have never met David, I immediately felt a connection with him. We shared many similarities in our lives such as the same last name, same profession, both have a young daughter and worked in the same Troop. It was also very ironic that David had volunteered...

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Brinkerhoff family in their time of sorrow.
