Not sure what to say?

David was indeed: one of the greats!

David was one of my first mentors at Fraser & Beatty in 1994 when I sat in a student office just outside his. I remember with great fondness a trial we did in 1997 in London that settled a few days in. I was tasked with bringing the settlement cheque to the plaintiff's lawyer from Toronto to London. I articled at Fraser Beatty. My office was next to DIB´s. He gave me all the exposure I wanted to civil litigation. He introduced me to my first post-articles employer. He sent me a useful summary of Construction Lien practice. He was a warm, generous, and quirky fellow. I honour his memory.

A true gentleman and friend. So sorry to hear of his passing. Many great memories of diving, sailing and great times in Cuba, the Bahamas, BVI, Cayman and his back yard introducing David to scuba diving with his buddies. A sage mentor whose advice was always invaluable. Peter A Broadhurst

Mary and family Our condolences on David´s passing. We will always have fond memories in the kitchen on Hedge Rd discussing the characteristics of different gins..... and which made the best G&T. He was a very large presence in law, life and family. He will be missed but never forgotten

To Mary and Family, My sincere condolences. Mr Bristow was a client of mine at the Briars Spa for a very long time. My fondest memory of him was when I was really sick with pneumonia and returned back to works a few weeks later , he brought me yellow roses .I will never forget that. May you rest in Peace Mr Bristow. Nancy Czalij

to Mary and the Family I am saddened to learn of Davids passing. In the past few years that I had come to know David, I always enjoyed his stories and general kindness. May his knowledge and love live on in those close to him. Shannon Riley, Jacksons Point Neighbour
