David Wadsworth Brown

I too was sad to hear about David's passing. I've missed him in the Cloverdale Library over the last number of months, and especially our many discussions about DNA. He was very knowledgable on the topic and had so many good stories to share on that front.

We posted a message on 11/2 but it seems to have disappeared. David was so well thought of in the genealogical community, and was greatly admired for his knowledge of DNA and for his spirit of helpfulness to all. We was a true pioneer in the field, in using Y-DNA for genealogy. He was always willing to help, and became expert in his knowledge and ability to interpret DNA results. I will miss David. He and I had several conversations about the family's DNA and the implications of what the tests were telling us. He had a great sense of humor and he and I shared a laugh or two.

My sympathies go out to David's family. He was a pioneer in using genealogy and DNA tests to help in the search.
