An Obituary can not do justice to a man like Dave. He was like a big brother to me and it is impossible to think of the wonderful life I have had without realizing how much Dave did for me and the friendship we shared. Dave was my political mentor in Illinois politics. He was the model political organization leader and led a New Trier army to victories too numerous to count. I was proud to be his fellow Committeeman as well as his loyal captain. It has never been the same - a true gentleman, partisan and patriot.
