Not sure what to say?

A wonderful man that I met in the 70's. I remember him as a kind and gentle person. I remember hearing him play guitar that I think was a "coffee house" sort of event in a home on St. John St. in Toledo. He impressed me as an all around wonderful human being. He was a great listener as well as speaker and artist. I just googled his name after reading the book Animals I want to See and remembered meeting David during my high school years at Woodward. I am sad to hear of his passing.

Oh dear, I thought to look up an old friend on facebook and learned that he has passed three years ago. I first met Dave sometime around 1962 when he was playing a folk concert at Start High School. We became friends and he helped me learn to play the guitar. I am deeply saddened to learn of his death and my condolences to his family. A few years ago I asked him via facebook if I could share some of his music on youtube. He consented. So, here is a link for anyone who cares to listen. There...

I was a student of David Browning's and just learned of his passing. I just thought of something he taught me in one of his classes at UT that has stuck with me all of these years. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

When I knew David at BGSU, he and a young woman named Sandy were a couple. I wonder if it is the same Sandy who became his wife.

I am so saddened to learn of David's death and my deepest sympathy to his family. David's talent and caring were such a positive in the world. I knew him when I was a BGSU student in the late 60s/ early 70s, he sang at my wedding and my frequent memories of him have always brought a smile through the years.

David played at BGSU in the early 70's. I was in the audience and looked up to see him looking down, so I waved and smiled. We met and kept in touch for a number of years. During the pandemic, I thought about people who made and impression on me and he came to mind. I was sad to see that he had died. His family and friends were so lucky to have him in their lives. Although he was only in mine for a short time, his presence stayed with me for over 50 years. My condolences to his...

Rest in piece my Friend, when I hear Cat Stevens, when I strum my guitar, when I recall our chats in the concourse many years ago, you are in my thoughts, you made a difference in my life.

I knew Dave for a short period of time, but it didn't take long to know that he was a kind man, something about his face and spirit that made me feel happy and wonderful to be in his presence. He had kind eyes, spoke in a soft voice, and was a gentleman. He will be missed, and will always be in my heart.

Our condolences on the loss of a wonderful person. Dave sang at our wedding 59 years ago. We knew him from BGSU where we were classmates. He is forever young in our memories, and we treasure the time we spent with him.
