David Brownlow Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 30, 2016.
Mr. David Lee Brownlow, age 38, of Dallas, GA., passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Mr. Brownlow was born on January 9, 1978 in Austell, GA., a son to Mr. Gordon Leroy Brownlow Jr. and Mrs. Judy Johnson Brownlow.
David had an incredible zest for life, always living every moment to the fullest with an unwavering kind and gentle spirit. The list of people who call David a friend is simply endless; he never met a stranger, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. David graduated from McEachern High School in 1996; he then went on to attend Gordon College. He was a very talented baseball player, playing in both in high school and college. He also played baseball and basketball with the Powder Springs Youth Organization. David was currently working for Atlanta Beverage Co. as a Sales Representative. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, wood working, gardening, and traveling. He was recently able to attend the British Open golf tournament with his father. He was an avid Atlanta Falcons, Braves, and most importantly a Georgia Tech Fan! Though David enjoyed his hobbies, his greatest joy was found by spending time with his family, loving finance, and numerous friends. David was a loving son, brother, uncle, fiancé, and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents David is survived by, one brother Seth Brownlow, wife Kristin, of Dallas, GA.; his loving fiancé Lori Johns of Dacula, GA.; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Patsy Brownlow of Powder Springs; maternal grandmother, Carol Johnson of Fairmount; niece, Sadie Brownlow; nephew, Eli Brownlow; several aunts and uncles; and his two adored dogs, Tess and Jo.
David is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ed Johnson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Fairmount, 550 Mount Pleasant Road, Fairmount, GA. 30139, with Rev. Jody Orton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from five o'clock in the afternoon until nine on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Owen Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers, Josh Holbrook, Cody Fischer, Casey Hojara, Jeff Almon, Kyle Breitbach, Chris Green, Brandon Woodman, and Lee Randle.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of David's passing. I remember so well what Christine Hurst said about all of us strolling our babies down the street together in the evenings. Our children grew up together for so many years. Judy, Lee, Seth, and all of David's loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our son Ronnie, played baseball with David in Powder Springs and we have fond memories of those times we shared as young families. May those memories of David and all those whose lives he touched, provide you some comfort during these overwhelming sad, sad times. Ron and Kay Lynn Golyer

I have such wonderful memories of being a part of a group of young mothers and our firstborns, strolling every afternoon thru the neighborhoods near Hiram. Although we lost touch thru the years, I can see David grew up to be a fine man, with lots of love and laughter in his life. The days ahead will be difficult, but you have many memories of him that will make you smile. Treasure those memories, and may your broken hearts feel the love and prayers of so many who care. Praying for you all~

Brownlow family I am sorry for your lose and can't imagine what you are going through. I looked up to David "Brownie" as a freshman in high school because he was passionate, hard working, and a leader to everybody. Even though I haven't talked to him since high school I feel like I have lost a best friend since we grew up playing baseball in powder springs. You should be proud of the son you raised.

Although I am currently deployed to the Middle East and unable to attend the funeral services, please know that Dave and his extended family & friends are in my thoughts.

Dave and I attended middle and high school together, and played baseball up until high school. Even though I haven't seen him in a long time, I will always remember him as one of the most genuine, down to earth, "good guys" I know.
