My condolences to David’s family on his passing. I had the privilege of working with him at Elk Grove. He was a great teacher, very helpful, and all around good guy.

Mr, Buchheit was my Chemistry teacher at Forest View. He was a great teacher and I loved chemistry class. I thank him for my foundation in science and helping me know that I wanted to be a science teacher also.

Mr Buchheit was my Forest View science teacher 49 years ago when I was assaulted and suffered a traumatic brain injury in gym class. He was my homebound summer tutor when I was in rehabilitation at Alexian Bros. He would visit me in the evenings when he could. Your father was a truly wonderful man.

Dave and I began teaching at Forest View the same year, 1966. He was a friendly, warm, helpful person. He left behind many, many memories. RIP, Dave. Bob Stelk
