I was so sorry to read about his passing I remember David and Betty and your house and being teenagers together at Newton high school. I remember his warm smile and going in to Brandeis to see him and my mother when she was working for him. Best and warm wishes to you all, his family.

I am so sorry to learn that David has left this space. He was my teacher at Brandeis when I was an undergraduate (‘67) and for many years as a graduate student after he was a friend with wise advice and humor. I would often contact him to say hello whenever I was in the Boston area and was grateful when he joined some math majors at Brandeis our 50th reunion in 2017.

My sadness of hearing that David passed
