David John Buffam

I knew David from boarding school days at Breeks Memorial School, Ootacamund, India. He was a couple years younger than I am. I would march him to school, as was the custom there. He was a "cheeky" fellow, full of mischief and well liked. I adored his sister Anne--from afar, and five years ago presided at her funeral after resuming friendship with her some years ago. The absolute pleasure of meeting David was afforded me by becoming friends with his first son Jeremy. Absolutely delighted spending time with him on the golf course or while breaking bread regaling accounts of occurrences and experiences. David made a memorable impression on anyone who came into contact with him, and he will be missed terribly. My sincere condolences to the entire Buffam family for their great loss.

I knew and respected David in a business context. He was a rare combination of competence, intelligence and integrity. He left a wonderful legacy.
