Not sure what to say?

I learned this morning that Coach Burger passed away in 2021. Coach, thanks for a great 4 years (1966-1970), and being such an outstanding coach.

Dave was one of my dad Jim Hulsman's best friends and one of my favorite people ever. His smile and laugh are things I will never forget.

We just heard the news. Sorry to see a great man leave this earth but we know he is coaching someone in heaven.

Gail and family, my name is Jim Sinclair and Dave was my coach at CSU from 1968 - 1972. One of best memories was the workouts the "distance guys" had in the summers running in the sand at Mentor Headlands park. We would all pile into Coach's station wagon for the trip. The workouts were exhausting and appreciated. We were all close friends and had an amazing time. It was heartwarming to see Dave's face again. Wishing you all the best.

Sending love and condolences from the Taylor-Hach family

Gail: Cathy and I were so sad to hear about the passing of your husband. We remember you and Maryjane so fondly from our CSU Study Tour to England in 1987. I especially recall our trip to the London Zoo for photos of the pandas and our numerous day trips around the countryside. Although I did not know him personally, I know from my years at CSU that David was a well-respected member of the University family, and he will be greatly missed.

So sorry to read this news. Stay strong Ruth and may your memories always fill your heart with joy and love.

The picture of Coach speaks loudly of his compassion and wit that he consistently showed his teams at CSU. I love the notation about him getting greens fees covered by his detailed recollection of his life's events!!! I can see him now! 50 years later I can hear him loud and clear! Many knew him... and all are blessed to have had that opportunity. Deep prayers for the family, of course.

So sorry for your loss-thinking of all of you. Dave was such a great man!
With love and prayers,
Maureen
