Not sure what to say?

Redsey was one of the first friends that Paul and I made, at LHS. I , too , remember that great smile, and just happy so that it made you happy. Me and Paul( as Dizzy Dean would say about his brother), and Reds were on the same midfield, for at least 2 years, under the coaching of Radar, and Mr. Stewart. The" best midfield ever"....we would say....probably not , but to the 3 of us , it was. Now he is playing catch with Paul. This midfield will be on the biggest, best field of all one day. For...

Heaven has gained a new member of their Greeting Party. Redsey "Dave" (never heard him called Dave) Burns was one of the good ones. A St. Mary's Boy and a Loyola Don, Reds was a bright light every day. He was always grinning, usually with raised eyebrows, as though he were waiting for you to deliver the funniest punchline he'd ever heard. I can see him now in a St. Mary's classroom, in his white shirt and navy clip-on tie, horsing around in Sister Anina's class but somehow always evading her...

I spent many hours in the Burns house with Reds as a child. For whatever reason, they were able to get WDCA Channel 20 out of Washington and we watched the original Frankenstein flicks. What a kick that was at the time. I guess they had a better TV antenna! Lately I had hooked up again with Reds via Facebook and it turns out we were very simpatico with respect to politics and the current culture. i was wondering why he had gone silent lately. So this is very sad news and all one can say is...

God bless you Reds, Rest in Peace, your sense of humor and beaming personality made my life happier, cant beat that!

I've know Redsey for 30 years and I he always had a quick wit and a broad smile. Visited him and Wina at their home in Ft. Lauderdale and they were great hosts. Redsey was really proud of his golf Green next to the pool. We had a great time hitting plastic golf balls over the pool playing closest to the pin. He will be missed.

Wina, All the Gilmore's are so sorry to hear about Regs. He was full of life and loved by all he met. He & brother Michael had a true friendship and together had a lot of great times and memories-they both are miss so much.

Our condolences to the Burn´s Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you!!! Redsey played for Baltimore Lacrosse Club, after college, and he was a great player and person that I spent many hours with after practices and games back in those days!!! His exploits and infectious personality served him well!!! I remember fondly hanging out with him at the Baltimore Irish Festivals and at the Preakness after BLC played in the infield!!!
