I knew David Buswell from a time when we were both growing up in Elmhurst, IL --- from opposite sides of the town --- Dave being from the east side and I from the west side. We knew of one another from our association with the Keast Bands of Elmhurst from the fourth-grade on --- David with his clarinet of some sort --- and me with my cornet/trumpet.
